Why the show is on the list

  • The story is engaging until the very end.

  • I remember watching the OVA’s after finishing the anime. I rarely watch OVAs after finishing an anime usally because of lack of interest. This means that Fushigi Yuugi had such a great story that once it ended I wanted more.

  • My favorite moment in this show is either Nuriko’s death scene and the anime’s ending.

  • The show has a good mixture of comedic and serious moments.

  • I got into the story and enjoyed the subject matter.

  • I learned to never give up on family, friends or a significant other.

  • This anime is for anyone who wants to watch a story with memorable characters and eye-opening scenes.
