My Top Ten Favorite Women That Are Absolutely Wonderful in Code Geass

Code Geass has been rightfully criticized for the amount of fan service that it contains. But if you can look past that it does contain quite a diverse cast of interesting characters. This of course applies to the women of the series. So I have decided to rank my favorite women of Code Geass.

Now this list is not strictly based on looks alone as it takes into account other important traits. Such as personality and impact on the plot. Obviously how they affected me will be an important factor in determining where they rank.

Since this is just my opinion please leave your ranking of your favorite women in Code Geass.

Also spoilers but that should be obvious at this point.

Sayoko originally Milly’s maid became Nunnally’s after she along with Lelouch was placed under the Ashford family.

So early on the in series, she just seems like your average maid. This changes when Deithard recruits her into the Black Knights.

After this Sayoko is revealed to be a ninja of excellent fighting ability that rivals Suzaku. She comes in real clutch for Lelouch in R2 when she acted as the false Lelouch.

We also see her ninja skills on display when she fights Suzaku in the films and Jeremiah in the show.

I feel like Sayoko is just taken for granted in this series for all of her hard work.

Despite coming back to help Lelouch from escaping Schneizel, Lelouch never checks in on her.

Only Jeremiah does.

I really liked this character for her devotion to the Lelouch and the twist where she is revealed to be a ninja.

Her accomplishments include:

• Taking care of Nunnally
• holding her own against Jeremiah who was a robot
• She helps out Lelouch after her wounds are treated despite needing rest
• Sayoko survived the F.L.E.I.J.A. and then escapes Schneizel to warn Lelouch
• Being a decoy for Lelouch in R2

Cornelia is the sister of Euphemia and half-sister to other members of the Royal family. If I had to describe her she is very friendly and even shows love to those she cares about but is completely the opposite when it comes to her opponents.

She can act cocky on the battlefield we see this during Narita where she called out to Zero to fight her. But since she is one of the best KMF Pilots in Code Geass I see nothing wrong with this attitude.

She is also quite intelligent and has even outsmarted Lelouch in the past. Beyond her own abilities what makes her powerful is her royal guard which contains some of the best KMF Pilots in Code Geass including Guilford.

Her greatest accomplishment are:

• Defeating Zero with a strategy in the Saitama ghetto.
• She basically defeated Zero in KMF combat (she would have won had Lelouch not used his Geass on Dalton).
• Her many victories throughout the series.
• Making Suzaku a full knight
• Helping Zero to defeat V.V.

Cornelia is one badass that will make you think twice if you try to write her off because of her looks.

Euphemia is the younger sister of Cornelia li Britannia. Much like her sister she has a hair color that is pink. Euphy is kind, shy, and very impulsive. We see this in her first appearance, when she jumps out of the window and Suzaku, catches her.

Euphy chooses Suzaku as her Knight and the two eventually fall in love in the story. Part of what makes Euphy is a great character is her authenticity in wanted to help others. She has put herself in harm’s way for others many times for both Britannians and even Japanese.

Even suggesting the Special administrative zone caused even her own sister to become angry with her. To top it off she even gave up her right to the throne. I really respect that because many say they want to help but only a small amount of people really act on it.

I also like how she wanted to help Lelouch and Nunnally. She never revealed Zero’s identity or Nunnally’s.

Euphy’s greatest accomplishment include:

• She helped the Japanese with creating the Special administrative zone.
• She made Suzaku her personal knight. This was a major step in showing how far Elevens could go in Britannia.
• While the rest of the royal family looked down at the Japanese she did not.

Also a side note she is not bad in a Knightmare Frame, I wonder if Cornelia trained her to use one.

Chiba is one of the four holy swords that serves under Kyoshiro Tohdoh. I know she loved him but she never declared her love. much like Shirley, she could never get the courage.

Weirdly enough it says on the Wikipedia page that they got married. But I never recalled that happening in the series. If you read further into the page they never site a source for that. If anyone knows the answer to this question please let me know.

Chiba besides Tohdoh is the only surviving member of the holy swords.

• Urabe dies in R2 Turn 2
• Senba dies in R2 Turn 6
• Asahina dies in R2 Turn 18

I love her look with the short hair and the yellow-colored suit she wears when fighting in a KMF. Her skills as a pilot are incredible as she was able to take on stronger opponents like Suzaku and Anya.

I will admit though that despite her tenacity she was not able to defeat either of them. Of the four members of the holy swords that serve Tohdoh, she is no doubt the strongest one. Much like the other female characters on the list, she is quite pretty.

Much like how Zhou supports Xingke she supports Tohdoh. Even at his worse, she is always there for him. Also much like Zhou, she does not have too many individual moments.

So finding a personal accomplishment is difficult. I guess it would be helping out Tohdoh in some of the most crucial fights in the series.

Shirley is a high school student that attends Ashford Academy. She is part of the student council along with Lelouch, Milly, Nina, Kallen, and Rival. She is an excellent swimmer and as Milly describes a ten.

Shirley’s main part of the story is that she serves as a potential love interest to Lelouch. Throughout the entire series, Shirley has a crush on Lelouch but has issues confessing her feelings. She eventually does but in both cases, I wish it came under better circumstances.

One of my gripes with Code Geass is how Shirley was basically ignored and almost written off after Lelouch erased her memories.

We never see much character development after that or the progression of her relationship with Lelouch. And when we do she has to die in the same episode.

While I like the character, I would have ranked her higher if the plot actually cared about her.

Her accomplishments include:

• I was very impressed that she was able to forgive Lelouch and even wanted to join him. It’s not easy for someone to forgive someone who kills a loved one but Shirley was able to do so.
• Shirley is an accomplished swimmer
• Being able to resist Mao’s manipulation and to actually fight back

Rakshata is the head of research and development for the Black Knights. She is the brilliant mind behind the Guren Mk-2 and the Radiant Wave Surger technology.

Rakshata is revealed to have some past Lloyd. We get hints of this when she calls him the Earl of pudding.

We never learn exactly what happened but in the ending credits for the series, there is an image of her working with Lloyd in the past.

What makes Rakshata rank so high on the list is how important she is to the story. Without her, the Black Knights, JLF, or any other resistance group would have never gotten KMFs that could battle Britannians.

And even if they did those KMFs would have never been as effective as the Guren.

I love her attitude and when she outsmarts Lloyd. I was also curious why she never closes her shirt but to each their own.

Her greatest accomplishments include:

• Creating the Burai, Gekkos, Shrinko, Guren mk2, and the Akatsuki
• Creating the Radiant Wave Surger and using different forms of it on her KMFs
• She completed the Hadron Cannon on the Gawain
• The Lancelot experienced the Gefjun Disturber which is also created by Rakshata she even weaponizes it later.
• Rakshata created the float system for the Guren MK 2
• She supplied the Black Knights with KMFs and those suits to help them pilot the KMFs

Kallen lives the double life of the ace of the Black Knights and Kallen Stanfield a student at Ashford academy.

She is the pilot of the Guren is a big part as to why the Black Knights are a legitimate fighting force in Code Geass.

Kallen has quite the perfect figure and the series makes sure you never forget that. I love her character development in Code Geass.

She starts with having no real purpose in life to learning to move on and finding her own path.

Kallen hates her mother but changes to want to help and create a better world for her.

Zero used to be the one that she only cared about but eventually, she shifts to loving Lelouch.

Want more information on Kallen here are some interesting facts and theories about her.

Did I mention she is a badass in both KMF fighting and hand to hand combat?

Because she is.

I love her KMF especially the later versions that she gets later on in the story.

Her Greatest Accomplishments include:

• Defeating so many talented KMF pilots including Gino, Anya, Suzaku, Jeremiah, Cornelia, Bitur, C.C., Guilford, Luciano
• Effectively piloting the Guren KMF
• Being the ace of the Black Knights and Captain of the Zero squad
• Assisting in the rescue of Lelouch from the Casino
• Causing the landslide in Narita
• Holding off the Britannian forces in turn 6 and turn 18
• Staying loyal to Lelouch until the very end

Leila is the child of Britannians who fled to the E.U. She leads the WZERO unit in Akito the Exiled. I love Leila’s personality as she genuinely cares about others and is not motivated to do things for personal gain.

She is an excellent leader and quite skilled at Akito pun intended.

The reason why she ranks high on this list is because of her leadership abilities and her sincere desire to help others.

Plus she is not hard on the eyes either Akito Hyuga is one lucky man.

Leila’s accomplishments include:

• Saving the Japanese youths and recruiting them to her team
• Using her Geass powers to save everyone at the castle look it up later
• Being an effective leader and helping her unit stay alive in the last battle in OVA 5.
• Saved the world by preventing Shin from using Apollo’s chariot from destroying Pendragon
